Brand new Doctor Rebecka Molitor!
On 9 September 2024, our UDUS partner Rebecka Molitor defended her PhD thesis under the title «Blue biotechnology to fight the plastic problem: Exploring microbes and enzymes for biodegradation», directed by Prof. Karl-Erich Jaeger. We can see her with a big smile next to the statue of Heinrich Heine (who names her University) wearing the hat their colleagues prepared for the occasion, which is a nice ritual of the University of Düsseldorf to receive PhDs.
